Identifying Mismatches, Capitalizing for MASSIVE Profits

March 9, 2017

Our NHL Experts had Wednesday's game between the Penguins and Jets DIALED in, predicting how the game will play out, and most importantly, the eventual winner.

We look to add to the profits tonight, and we have identified a significant mismatch in tonight’s Penguins vs. Jets game. Let’s cash in large tonight.

A well-rested Penguins squad, who have not played since Sunday, are coming in hot after scoring 9 goals in the past 2 games, to play a Jets squad who are grinding out their 4th game in 6 nights. Winnipeg is 0-7 in their past 7 games at home vs. teams who are above .500, and are a disappointing 14-15-5 at the MTS Centre this season.

Statistically, Pittsburgh powerhouses Winnipeg in all crucial categories:

This is a matchup where the NHL’s number 1 offense (Penguins) in terms of goals scored (3.45), shot generation, and high-danger scoring chances, is facing off against an extremely unreliable defensive squad. Winnipeg is 27th in goals allowed (3.10) and is bottom-10 in shots allowed, and high-danger scoring chances allowed.

Pittsburgh buried four goals past the Jets and Hellebucyk in February, and we expect a well-rested Penguins squad to unleash relentless amounts of offence on a tired Jets squad once again tonight. These teams also have some unfinished business. If you remember last game, Blake Wheeler was the victim of a massive hit from Evgeni Malkin, turning their last matchup into a chippy, penalty-filled affair. If this boils over into tonight’s game, this will benefit our bet greatly. Pittsburgh has the 3rd ranked powerplay in the league (22.3%), which will not bode well vs. the Jets 26th ranked penalty kill that allow goals 23.3% of the time.

The goalie matchup benefits the Penguins greatly as well. Matt Murray (24-8-3, 2.35 GAA, .925 SV%) has been the epitome of consistency with Pittsburgh, and rarely takes a night off. Connor Hellebucyk (22-16-3, 2.74 GAA, .911 SV%), on the other hand, combined with the Jets unreliable defense, is the epitome of unpredictability. In Hellebuyck’s last 3 games vs. top-10 scoring offenses, he has allowed 14 goals.

Expect the Penguins’ high-powered offense to prove too much for a Jets squad who has struggled vs. high-scoring teams with winning records, especially at home.
